World Congress Event Weblog

We are launching this Weblog as a way of developing our community well beyond the Delegates who register for and attend the actual World Congress. The blog will chronicle the entire World Congress experience, and will provide both Delegates and others with news and information related to the emerging transformation of the nature of work. It also offers our extended community a way to communicate with us and with each other on an ongoing basis.

For Registered Delegates Only

Become a Delegate and join us in the Private Forum for the following Online Events:

World Congress Forum

The World Congress Forum is a private bulletin board where we are holding online conversations about important questions impacting the future work such as:

  • How is the nature of work actually changing?
  • What new challenges does the changing nature of work present to management?
  • How is the concept of a workplace undergoing change?
  • What is a "strategy of place" and how should organizations make location decisions?
  • How are new and emerging technologies impacting the nature of work?
  • What exactly is a "Declaration of Interdependence?"
  • What specific work design principles do we as a community want to include in the Declaration of Interdependence?
  • How can we as a community work together to make the future of work real in all our organizations?
  • Delegates Only: Click here to go directly to the World Congress Forum

    Teleconferences

During the three months before the World Congress we are holding a series of one-hour teleconferences exclusively for World Congress Delegates and Future of Work members. These conversations will serve to preview and enrich the conversations we'll be having in March in San Francisco, as well as introduce the Delegates to each other.

The current schedule is as follows:

    Friday, January 9, 2004:
    A conversation with Judy Bardwick

    Friday, January 23, 2004:
    A conversation with Rebecca Ryan

    Thursday, February 5, 2004:
A conversation with Bill Agnello and Neal Zimmerman

    Thursday, February 19, 2004:
    A conversation with Peter Cochrane

    Thursday, March 4:
A conversation with Jim Ware and Charlie Grantham
